i'm just back from watching Narnia. I cried many times (starting with the evacuation scene, so very early on), i gasped, laughed, clutched my hands in fright and very much wanted to stand up and cheer when the table was broken and Aslan appeared. It brought back lots of memories of being a little girl reading the books and watching the cartoon over and over again until i wore the video out. I believed Narnia was real and i knew one day I would go there. I still do.

Esther: "I want to have a chicken! I could give a chicken a good home couldn't I?

Brianne: "I never thought i would live to see the day when you would claim to want an animal!"

It's alright, it can't be true, i haven't been well so i think i'm just feeling a bit delirious and imagined that text message from Esther. Because i am in no fit state to have my world turned upside down. Esther hates animals and shows terror and disgust at pigeon legs so i am sure that this must be the same for chickens. Unless you were thinking perhaps to have the chicken with a nice chianti?

"If this gentleman's feelings of gratitude, of respect, of admiration, and affection, induced him (as I presume they did) to marry this lady, I think he is the greater gentleman for the action, and makes her the greater lady."

Well done Mr Tremlow, well done.

Crack open the champagne!!!!! I have finished the first of my essays!!! now i just have to finish one more and i can go home for Christmas!!

I think the cleaner is started to get annoyed with me, yesterday she asked me when i would be leaving. The thing is she keeps coming in and asking if i want the room cleaned but i've got books and papers spread out all over the floor and my desk (and sometimes my bed, which makes it hard to sleep).

"yes please, if you wouldn't mind just giving the door a quick dust I would be much obliged."

We went out for cocktails on monday evening (2 for 1, it had to be done) and two very creepy guys sat at the table next to us just stared openly at us the whole night. they didn't try to come on to us they just sat and stared. At least if they had tried something we could have rebuffed them. They just sat and stared with their greasy long lank hair. I made every effort to avoid making eye contact which was difficult my chair was facing them and Laura is whispering in my ear "They're still staring" "i know, i'm trying to ignore it" said out of side of mouth. They didn't even seem to talk to each other. Well guys, hope you liked the view, i would hate to think your evening was wasted. Yuk!

It was still a good evening with the particular highlight of Laura trying to rap christmas song (it worked particularly well with Frosty the Snowman)
