I just heard about the air traffic control strikes in France. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4672956.stm
This could be a problem for my mum who is supposed to be flying back from Lyon on Friday and i can't even get in contact with her because she never switches her phone on so i don't know if she has found out whether her flight is cancelled or not and i don't know which airline she is flying with so i can't check. This would be bad enough because its horrible to be stuck somewhere when you are travel weary and just want to go home to a good cup of tea but it's worse when you have no one there with you to laugh at the situation. So i'm worried about her. I'm also worried about my Dad because he hasn't been well and my mum had wanted to get back to him as quickly as possible. Now he is at home on his own and what if something happens? Should i go home tomorrow? should i phone my brother ask him to pop round and check on him? i dont know if my brother knows dad hasn't been well, i don't know how much i know about it? my mum rings me up every now and then and announces things like "daddy is seriously ill" and that will be all i get. Okay so i started out this post really worried about my parents and now i am just annoyed at my mum.

I am getting quicker with my cooking!! In two hours i made a casserole and a beetroot pie!!

Isn't it beautiful?!!

Not sure what i am going to do with it now...mmmmmmmm.

right, i think i was suppose to be doing something...???...o yes my assignment.

They have tested the fire alarms four times today and i'm sure it cannot be good for my heart, it races every time the alrm goes. It such awful sound weeoo weeoo weeooo. Please stop for the love of God!! Let me enjoy my afternoon off.

I have been making pastry (and getting some weird looks from the undergrads) and i was feeling so very relaxed having pounded out my frustrations on the dough (I now understand why you have to let it rest before using it). I was just sitting down at my computer to work when weeoo weeooo weeoo. omigod omigod whats going on ? f**k my head is exploding and my heart is thumping and then it stopped...then weeoo weeo weeoo.

anyway that completely threw me off balance so of course i couldn't get to work straight away and had to blog instead.

Dear person on 8th floor with the room above me,

What was all that noise about last night? Were you perhaps involved in some strange sexual antics? Or did you think midnight was a good time to start your exercises? Were you running up and down your bedroom floor with a herd of elephants? Because that is what it sounded like. That particularly loud bang on my ceiling/your floor - was that you jumping off your bed? Did you in fact move your furniture around your room before deciding to pile it all up on top of your bed, then did you climb to the top of your own private mount everest and leap from the summit? Were you practising your bungee jumping from this pile? did you bang your head? Poor you, i heard it, it must have hurt. May i ask, do you perhaps know the girls who stood in my corridor last night talking and (cringe) giggling into the wee hours? I of course felt sorry for them too as i figured that a swarm of killer bees or a pack of rabid dogs must have taken over their rooms in order for them to feel compelled to carry out their social activities in the corridor.
Anyway, i must go now and make some pastry (i know, it's an exciting life i lead). Take care of yourself. hope your head gets better.

Lots of suffocating hugs and kisses

Brianne

P.S. perhaps you might consider doing your exercises at the gym?
